Caroline Bock’s books include her debut novel for adults, THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, a workplace love story, inspired by her two-decade career at AMC, Bravo, IFC, and IFC Films, which will be published on June 2, 2026 (Regal House Publishing). Notably, she was part of the executive team that launched IFC and IFC Films. She is a classic movie fan, and as the senior vice president in marketing and public relations at AMC, Bravo, and IFC, she worked on many movie-based promotions and with many classic movie stars. Her passion for classic movies helped inspire THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.

She is also the author of the young adult novels LIE and Before My Eyes (St. Martin’s Press) as well as the award-winning short story collection Carry Her Home (Washington Writers’ Publishing House).

Since 2023, she has served as the co-president and prose editor at the Washington Writers’ Publishing House, a 50-year-old nonprofit literary press based in Washington, DC. In 2025, she co-edited the landmark anthology, AMERICA’S FUTURE: poetry & prose in response to tomorrow, as well as launched the series of ‘Capital’ mini-anthologies with her co-president/co-editor Jona Colson. The most recent in the series, CAPITAL LOVE, was published in May 2026. She is also the co-founder/prose editor of the bi-weekly lit magazine WWPH WRITES.

A graduate of Syracuse University, where she studied creative writing with Raymond Carver, Tess Gallagher, and Jack Gilbert, she also holds an MFA in Fiction from the City College of New York. She was born in the Bronx and raised in New Rochelle, New York, by a single parent, her father, after her mother suffered a devastating aneurysm when Caroline was four years old.
